Quality and transparency are the main policy virtues at Villa Solera.
“Solera” stands for “Quality” and “Tradition” and is usally found – for example – on the etiquete of the better brandies to emphasize the special characteristics. The term is also used for persons or families to indicate a special reference or a long family tradition.
The original meaning of the word “Solera” indicates the bottom of a mine, cave or bodega. This is were they used to store the wine and the brandy barrels. Since the first barrels to be tapped were the ones on top, the lowest barrels, the ones close to the “solera” part of the storage room, were untouched over a long period of time. That gave the wine in the lowest barrels a special character.
Villa Solera pretends to transmit this special character through offering high quality services. Let us know if you think we succeed in that.
Solera Seal of Quality. This quality label represents a set of minimum conditions that we think any property should fulfill. Properties that do not comply with our minimum conditions will not be supoorted by Villa Solera. The Solera Class is the best proof of the Villa Solera philosofy and policy. This clasification system is the result of years of experience and continuing research and development, both internal as external. All Villa Solera homes have passed an investigation to see if they comply with these standards.
Since everyone has their own taste, our quality conditions do not judge the estetical aspects of a project. We merely investigate legal, financial and technical values. We want to make sure that promises are kept, that there is some kind of quality control and that the investment has a good return.

Legal Conditions. Legal documentation should contain all necessary elements with a good discription of the object, de conditions, a time schedule, obligations, rights, etc. |

Financial Conditions. Acording to Spanish law, all payments in advance should be covered by a bank guarantee. Not all developpers are inclined to provide such guarantee or charge the client with additional costs for it. We will take care that this is not happening and that the content of the draft complies with law. |

Internal Quality Conditions. The developper has to fulfill all responsibilities to the client. Therefore it’s imminent that his internal administration is well organised. Also the security level of data protection and the service level to the clients should meet the Villa Solera standard. |

External Quality Conditions. Construction is a field that is constantly on the move. Developpers that want their home to be recommended by Villa Solera are required to apply the latest and best techniques. |
